Quando Deus criou os c\u00e9us e a terra, tudo era perfeito. N\u00e3o havia pecado, inveja, \u00f3dio ou medo. Era pura perfei\u00e7\u00e3o. Dif\u00edcil de imaginar, n\u00e3o \u00e9?<\/p>\n
Then Adam and Eve sinned. This is known as original sin, or the fall of man. Sin changed the destiny of all humanity. Suddenly man\u2019s perfect and whole relationship with God took on separation and brokenness.<\/p>\n
When we miss the mark, <\/strong>we have sinned. This definition may seem a little open-ended, but the mark<\/strong>, in this case, is a standard of perfection established by God and evidenced by Jesus\u2019 life here on earth. The Bible tells us in Romans 3:23, \u201cFor all have sinned\u00a0and fall short of the glory of God<\/em><\/strong>.\u201d Yes! This is the Good News of the Gospel (Bible). Because God loves, He created a solution or way out for us: the death of His Son, Jesus Christ, on a cross as full payment for our sins.<\/p>\n This is a hard question. People have grappled with it forever. A cruel death in Roman times seems so harsh for a perfect, sinless deity. But Jesus, sinless and perfect, willingly took on death because His father, God, set this (death on a cross) as the criteria to erase man\u2019s sins. Jesus can forgive us because He died and rose from the grave in victory over sin and death<\/strong>.<\/p>\n \u201cFor what I received\u00a0I passed on to you\u00a0as of first importance: that Christ died for our sins\u00a0according to the Scriptures,\u00a0that he was buried,\u00a0that he was raised on the third day\u00a0according to the Scriptures<\/em>.<\/strong>\u201d Something amazing happens! 1 John 1:9 says, \u201cIf we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness<\/em><\/strong>.\u201d<\/p>\n When we confess our sins and believe in the Lord Jesus Christ as our Savior, something wonderful happens inside of us. Not a physical thing, but a spiritual thing: a process begins, and for the first time in our lives, we start to experience and understand God\u2019s peace. Our sins are forgiven, and this brings restoration, or rightness, to our relationship with God. We can\u2019t help but love the Lord Jesus who died for us on the cross.<\/p>\n It\u2019s a simple, but necessary, question. We have all sinned, and our sins separate us from God. This separation can last forever if we don\u2019t confess our sins and recognize our need for a Savior, Jesus.<\/p>\n If you believe in your heart that God died to take away your sins and that you want to live a life free from guilt, tell Him. Then thank Him for His love and care for you.<\/p>\n Yes, I want to know Jesus today<\/strong><\/p>\n A Prayer to Express Your Faith and Belief in God<\/strong><\/p>\n “Father, I admit I have missed the mark of Your perfection and have been living a sinful life. I am sorry, and I want to turn away from my past life. I want to fully know and experience life as Your child and follower.<\/p>\n Please forgive me and show me how to live a life that honors You. I ask You to come into my life and rule my heart. In Jesus’ name, I pray.
