We all know that communication is a key component to any healthy relationship. That’s what prayer is — having a conversation with God. God cares about us and wants us to share our heart with him. It doesn’t have to be anything formal; it can happen anywhere, anytime. Driving home from work. Doing the dishes. Lying in bed at night. He’s always available and always eager to talk.

Find a Local Church

In our relationship with Jesus, it’s important to find a community of believers. Church is a place where we can gather to pray, worship and grow together. God designed us to walk through life alongside people who love and encourage us. Finding a church can feel intimidating or overwhelming, and it may take time. A good start would be a simple Google search to see what churches are near you. Most churches have websites and list their core beliefs in their mission statement. Many churches also offer small groups that meet together on a regular basis so you can build friendships and get to know people on a more personal level. Don’t wait for the nervousness to disappear. Jump right in. We promise it will be worth it!
